KOUE BOKKEVELD TRAINING CENTER
TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK
Strategic planning. Putting heads together. Team building. Training. All these things help to Learn and Achieve. We at the Koue Bokkeveld Training Centre continue to strive and believe that teamwork and support are of paramount importance to making a difference, not only in our students' lives, but also in the community and in everyone's everyday lives.
We are grateful to everyone who joins hands with us to make this dream a reality.
Our March newsletter brings us a lot of important news. Read more below.
LEARNERSHIP SUCCESS STORY
Since 2003, Koue Bokkeveld Training Centre has been offering learnerships in Plant Production (NQF 1 and -4), and in 2025 an important milestone was reached with the introduction of the NQF 2 learnership. The programme kicked off with 43 motivated learners, with excellent attendance and no withdrawals.
AgriSETA funded ten learners, while the remaining 77% of the learners were funded by participating farms. This collaboration reflects a strong commitment to growth and skills development in the Witzenberg region.
Participating farms also requested that classes be offered during working hours to save on transport costs, which at the same time contributes to better attendance and increased motivation among learners. This success story highlights the value of investing in people and its positive impact on the agricultural sector.
VACANCY FOR AGRICULTURAL TRAINING MANAGER
WSP & ATR 2026/2027

Please note that AgriSETA has a new system for submitting the annual training reports and planning (WSP & ATR). We will be sending emails to everyone regarding this from 1 April. If you do not receive such an email, please contact Marnel at our office. 15 April is the closing date for when information must be returned to us. Everyone's cooperation is requested to provide us with this information as soon as possible.
RECORDER FLUTE AND GUITAR TRAINING
On Saturday, 14 March 2026, 43 participants enjoyed an energetic and inspiring training day at the centre. Rowen and his students presented the sessions and it was wonderful to see how music brings people together from 17 to 71 years of age. It was a day of learning, growth and joy. Many thanks to the Department of Sport and Cultural Affairs for their support.
PRESENTERS WORKSHOP
On March 18, our annual Presenters Workshop took place. This session was well attended by 19 presenters (in person) and 3 presenters virtually. Our guest speakers for the afternoon were Werner and Matthew from Siza. We also used this opportunity to work through logistical arrangements and planning for the upcoming training season. We would like to say a big thank you to all the presenters who attended the day. We look forward to learning to perform with you.

WOMEN'S CAMP - BEYOUTIFUL
We are so excited to host our very first BeYOUtiful Women's Camp! Karin van Wyk will lead it and this will be a life-changing experience.

For Afrikaans and Xhosa women – a place where we can grow together, pray together and strengthen each other.

For two weeks before the camp, each woman is deliberately prayed for by name.
Karin also receives the meaning of each name, which forms part of the unique ministry and preparation. That is why it is very important that we receive all names in advance and unfortunately there can be no cancellations after 25 June.

📍 Camp takes place at Dennebos: 14-16 August 2026
💳 Costs will appear on the June bill R 1380 p.p. (includes accommodation, meals, crown and your name meaning)

Start saving now – you don't want to miss this!
On March 12, our staff gathered at the center for a valuable strategic session.
