FESTIVE AUGUST
There was a lot of celebrating during the month of August. Our Witzenberg Prestige Agricultural Worker of the Year was named, the women celebrated Women's Day together and it was jolly during the music workshop.

IT SHINES AT THE 2025 WITZENBERG PRESTIGE AGRI AWARDS
Congratulations to Carmanita Snyders from Verdun Estates who was chosen as 2025's Witzenberg Agriworker of the Year!

A special thank you to all the farms that put so much effort into their table decorations - the creativity around the theme "Our dream for our farm and/or community" was inspiring. Congratulations to our three winners in this section:

WOMEN'S DAY - A DAY FILLED WITH HEART-MOVING LIFE STORIES
On Saturday, August 9, we proudly celebrated the women of agriculture in the Witzenberg. 724 women attended the event, of which 157 were Xhosa speaking.
Many thanks to Department of Agriculture: Rural Development for their gift packs for the lucky draws and speakers.
MUSIC PROJECT
What an inspiration! On Saturday, August 16, Rowan Music School of Wellington presented yet another phenomenal music workshop. 25 enthusiastic learners and 5 dedicated facilitators came together to hone their talent and practice with passion. They are preparing hard for our big in-house concert on December 6 - a day you definitely don't want to miss! Mark it in your diary now, because it's going to be a festival of music and talent!
AGRISETA FUNDING APPLICATIONS
The AgriSETA funding applications close on 15 September. This includes projects such as bursaries, internships, workplace placements, apprenticeships, and skills programmes. If you would still like to apply, please send the necessary documents to Marnel as soon as possible to admin02@kbos.co.za
THE HANDYMAN WORKSHOP - BUILD SKILLS AND CONFIDENCE
